Greetings from a sunny and warm place in Andalucia, Spain. We are once again underway in our camper van and are lapping up the sunshine in our European “down under”. It's been slightly more breezy (up to 60 knots of wind...that's 100km for you non-sailors) and rainy at times, but otherwise sunshine and blue skies. What more can you ask for? A recipe you say. Cheeky monkey.
We have a guest writer today, Lara Simmons. I thought it might be nice to have more content and other people's interesting recipes. Here's a bit about Lara: Lara is obsessed with healthy eating, and leads a very healthy lifestyle. She goes to the gym 4 times a week and always makes sure she eats her five portions of fruit and veggies a day. Lara loves to write blog posts to share her healthy eating tips, but just like everyone else, she also loves to indulge in naughty treats like this one!
I should rename this blog: I‘m so sorry for neglecting you! What can I say, it’s happened again – life has once again taken control of my good intentions. But I am getting better with each passing day and sooooon I won’t have to apologize at the beginning of each blog piece! My wonderful parents are now with us in France and you will be hearing all about them and life in the not-so-sunny south of France more regularly. Honest. Come on, give me another chance!

Going straight from appetizer to dessert may seem a little strange to some, but it seems perfectly normal to me… Yes, I will be posting the middle bits, but I know how you lot like your puds so I decided to post it first.
I was checking out some of my favorite blogs and found a great recipe for spaghetti squash on chocolate and zucchinis blog with links to other blogs and on one of these (http://verysmallanna.com/) I found a recipe for macaroons (or macarons depending on where you live). So instead of doing spaghetti squash (promise to do so later), I am going to do a piece on macaroons that involves amongst other things, lunch with friends and the French gendarmes / police…
We had a couple of friends over in May and I have been meaning to write and tell you about the fantastic Steamed Sponge Cake I made for dessert, but you know how it goes – the rabbits had babies, the ducks sat on eggs way too long, the sheep continue to behave as though they have no brain cells whatsoever – life got in the way! This dessert / cake is so easy and delicious – I’ve made it several times now and it is great every time so I have decided to share the recipe. But first, some stories…
Today's recipe is: Molten Chocolate pudding
It was recently brought to my attention that I have as yet to post a dessert recipe. Quel faux pas! What a mistake! Last year, I was given a chocolate cook book and am becoming a legend with my chocolate desserts. Death by Mississippi Mud pie should actually be the title of one of my posts. One slice and your mind is in chocolate heaven and your tummy is in serious danger of explosion. A sheer joy is what it is. Today you are meeting Louis, my biggest chocolate fan. Don’t those two teeth and that gorgeous big smile say it all? His beautiful big sister, Emma, and he are both big chocoholics, but Louis does take the (chocolate) cake in this department, if you’ll pardon the pun.
