Beautiful Bosham

Bosham
The Husband and I were lucky enough to spend some time in England in April with my lovely parents and aunt and uncle. Our luck increased when the French Air traffic controllers went on strike and we had to harass my poor aunt and uncle with 3 more days in their home. Thanks Peter and Wendles for putting up with us yet again!

However, this unexpected extra time did mean that we got to visit a beautiful little tidal town of Bosham near Chichester. I'd been there once before with my aunty Wendles and took my hubby with me this time. It is well worth a visit as it is absolutely beautiful. I'm going to say it a few times more as it is so beautiful.

Twice a day the tide comes in and you can get into your boat from the living room window. I find this so sweet! Not that many people do mind you, they tend to use the boat quay instead. Some people just don't know their luck.

The main road is under water twice a day! I find this so amazing – I know, I'm easily impressed. I would have thought that it would get washed away, but no!, it's still there and working well. Not even green slime on it like in the middle island. And it really is an island island, not just an island as in traffic island. Okay, I'm confused too.

The church is amazingly beautiful too. Wiki says: The Holy Trinity Church is an historic building of some note - it has been in existence at least since Anglo-Saxon times, and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. I have no idea what the Domesday Book is, but it sounds impressive! Apparently it also has a 13th century crypt where they keep the bones of the people from the church nearby – that'll teach them to join another church...

I definitely recommend you visit this beautiful village sometime – it's well worth it.
